Overview
BlueGen Therapeutics Foundation is on a mission to advance single-administration, AAV-based gene therapies to cure rare inherited retinal diseases like Blue Cone Monochromacy and Achromatopsia. The foundation’s aim is to restore vision and bring hope. We were asked to create a portfolio website showcasing the organization’s mission, research, and impact so affected families, researchers, and donors can learn about BlueGen’s work and easily contact the foundation.

An easy-to-navigate and engaging interface
BlueGen Therapeutics Foundation was under a time constraint – they intended to show their website to their stakeholders at an upcoming event and asked us to deliver the website within 2 – 3 days! To ensure timely delivery, we used a strategic combination of custom code and pre-built content blocks by the WordPress Gutenberg editor. We leveraged the Gutenberg editor for the general page design, and weaved in custom functionality to enhance the interactivity of the site. Our custom features, such as sliders, animations, hover effects, and dynamic content updates, made the website more user-friendly.
Boost customer engagement
Since one main goal was to make stakeholders aware of BlueGen Therapeutics Foundation and its work, we introduced a News section where news, updates, and the latest information about the foundation can be shared. We created the News section to give the foundation a dedicated space to communicate with its audience. From the latest developments in vision treatments to upcoming stakeholder events, the foundation can keep its audience in the loop to boost engagement.
Creating a trustworthy online presence
BlueGen Therapeutics Foundation believes in its mission to restore the vision of affected individuals with advanced gene therapy treatments. Their work is transformative for individuals suffering from rare genetic retinal diseases, but not many were aware of the foundation and its work. We designed and developed a website with inspiring visuals that established the foundation’s identity and highlighted available treatments. With a website that showcased the foundation’s work, its partnerships with renowned organizations, and information about the leadership, we helped establish trust that brought in individuals who needed treatment, donors, volunteers, and researchers.
FAQs
We used the Agile Methodology to assign tasks and ensure steady progress. Due to the time constraint, we relied on Google Sheets instead of Jira to assign and track tasks. We communicated with the client through Google Chat and Slack and ensured effective collaboration to reduce noise that may affect project delivery.
The successful launch of the portfolio website was the key outcome. Later, the website was optimized for speed and performance.
